Give yourself time to express gratitude and celebrate your extraordinary accomplishments.
Enrich your workplace by making time to acknowledge yourself and all those that support you on your path. Have some fun, play and do this often. You’ll be surprised by how much more you achieve when a little play is part of your routine. We all need to recharge on a regular basis!
Here are a few resources I use to reenergize and inspire.
- The Creative Whack Pack by Roger von Oech. This is a creativity tool to help you break out (aka “whack”) of the habitual thought patterns that we tend to get caught up in. It’s published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc. and you can order it at any of the major online bookstores.
- Positive Words, Powerful Results by Hal Urban. This is a must read for anyone that wants to use language thoughtfully to uplift and empower. By using positive language, we attract positive results. In the process, we create better relationships with our team, coworkers, business partners, family and friends.
- 301 Ways to Have Fun At Work by Dave Hemsath and Leslie Yerkes. Who says work has to be a four letter word? Most of us spend eight hours or more per day at work. So why shouldn’t we pack as much joy as possible into our work? Of course the side benefit is - people that laugh and work well together are also top performing teams. Top performance = personal and professional bottom line growth!
- What Would Buddha do at work? 101 answers to Workplace Dilemmas by Franz Metcalf and BJ Gallagher Hateley. This is a wonderful, straight forward guide for values-based business practices. It is rooted in the timeless wisdom of the Buddha to help you on your path to personal fulfillment and organizational success.
- The Power of Thinking Big by John Maxwell. This is a little book of quotes that is loaded with inspiration. I keep plenty of positive quotes handy because they are a great way to stimulate new thinking. Surround yourself with tools and resources to help you expand your perspective and your results.
